Directions

Access to the club is via a tarmac access road that runs North from the B6265 between Pateley Bridge and Grassington. The turn is on a long hill about 200 yds up from Dibbles Bridge (at the foot of the hill) and is clearly signed with blue Yorkshire Water signs. Please note that some maps also show ‘Grimwith Road’, which is a rough gated track further east with no access to the club.

The access road is a little over ½ mile long with passing places and several cattle grids and runs through farmland. It also leads to a public car park popular with walkers. Please observe the 30mph speed limit and watch out for birds (especially pheasant and grouse), animals and livestock on the road, as well as walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Please take extra care when trailing boats.

The access road climbs the hill to pass the right hand side of the dam. The entrance to the club is a clearly signed left fork down a gravel track about 100 yds past the end of the dam. The tarmac road continues past the club entrance to a public car park above, so if you reach this you have gone too far.

If approaching from the South the recommended faster route is via Otley, Blubberhouses and Greenhow Hill. Travel time from Otley is 25 minutes. If approaching from the East use the A59 and turn right 1 mile before Blubberhouses, follow North West for 7.5 miles to Greenhow Hill then turn left on the B6265.
