RYA 2 Day Courses
YDSC is a RYA Recognised Training Centre and runs intensive 2 day courses that follow RYA syllabus and lead to RYA certificates. There is a charge of £149 for these courses. The Level 3 course is ideal for those who have done the Level 2 but are then struggling to get going or have had a bit of a gap since they last sailed. Maybe you have just got a new boat and need help getting to grips with it, or want to learn a bit more about racing or get introduced to using a spinnaker. The course is very flexible – a refresher and refinement of Level 2 skills and then a look at things beyond depending on the needs of the participants. The Sailing with Spinnakers course is what it says on the tin! Two days of intensive tuition teaching you all you need to know to successfully sail boats with spinnakers. The Start Racing course introduces you to all you need to know to start racing.
These courses are only open to club members. If you are not a currently a club member you can join the club for a minimum period of 3 months in order to access the course and hopefully your experience will make you want to join the club permanently!
