Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club are very pleased to host the Contender Northern Championship and Phantom Open Meeting at Grimwith Reservoir on 25^th April to 26^th April 2026

Entries and Suggested Entry Donations

To help with planning and organisation please enter online below. Online entries will close at 14:00 on 22 April 2026 The suggested entry donation (as we are a charity) for the event is £30 per boat.

Event Schedule

• Registration at the clubhouse from Saturday 10:00 hrs
• Competitor Briefing Time 12:00 hrs
• Saturday Race 1 warning signal 12:55 hrs
• Schedule 3 back to back races
• Sunday first warning signal 10:25
• Schedule 3 back to back races
• No warning signal for races on the last day will be made after 14:00 hrs

If cancellation is required due to weather or any other unforeseen event, then this will be notified on this website.

Other Key Information

Camping

1. Free camping for tents and motorhomes will be available from 10.00 on Friday 24/04/26

2. Unfortunately, caravans are not allowed under the terms of the YDSC lease.

3. Please follow the camping guidance to be found on www.yorkshiredales.sc under Club > Club Information > Camping covering such matters as on where to pitch camp, use of club facilities and expected norms of behaviour.

Social / Catering Arrangements

• Take away Pizzas (or Indian) available Friday evening by prior arrangement by Wednesday Evening with Neil Ferguson (Contenders) and Clive Harries (Phantoms).
• Breakfast options available Saturday and Sunday mornings before racing.
• Two course evening meal available Saturday at 18.00, to be ordered on registering or Saturday morning.
• Lunchtime two course meal Sunday when off the water, ready for the drive home.
• Open galley ‘bar’ Friday and Saturday when off the water.
• There are also snacks and cool drinks vending machines available for use at other times.
