New Membership System

Our new membership system is now live!

We have now launched the new, online YDSC membership system using our account on a platform called membermojo. It has taken quite a bit of effort to migrate from the old system and there are many new features, some of which require members’ input, so PLEASE READ AND ACTION BELOW.

LOGIN DETAILS

All members (or lead members for families) in the new system are being contacted by email with login details. If you have not got an email then please let us know as it means either it did not get to you or we don’t think you are a member.

You don’t need a password for the new system. Just enter your email and if you are registered it will send you an email with a login link. You can then set a password if you want to, or just use the email option. If you use the wrong email it will not work obviously. For any problems email

Some key differences:

  • Online membership data – you can check your status and update many of your own details yourself. Key committee members can check membership data online.
  • All members now get an entry and a member number – so a Family membership comprises one lead and several linked members.
  • New interim membership (for those who want to try the club for a short period or be members for a short time in order to do a course) – limited to 3 months, paid for by card online. Reminders and expiry automated.
  • Dual membership – once for 12 months max (as per the constitution), now with automated expiry and reminders.
  • Junior and Student membership now separated. Junior expires on 18th Student over 18 & on application with course details.
  • Direct debit setup now fully online via bespoke link from the membership secretary.
  • New Membership Menu with numerous forms.

There have been numerous challenges with data migration, so it is likely that there will be some errors. Please let us know, and bear in mind that all this work is done by unpaid, volunteer club members for your and the club’s benefit.

ACTION – Please check or add data as follows:

Please log in using your email

  • Check your details under My Membership. Many fields you can edit directly yourself. Others that mostly require admin action, like berths or keys, can be changed by completing a form on the Membership Menu.
  • The new system has a place for Emergency Contacts. This is a new safety feature for the rare occasions when an incident happens at the club and is obviously optional, but makes sense and you are encouraged to complete it. The resulting data (names and contacts) will be available to committee members and the safetyboat specialist team.
  • For juniors, please add a date of birth if not showing. This is not optional as it is required by the system. No DoB means no junior membership.
  • For berths, Adult allocations show what is currently being paid for. Junior berth data was from the confirmation statement so is probably out of date. Please request updates using this form from the Membership Menu: https://yorkshiredales.sc/membership/membership-menu/add-or-remove-craft-storage/. We plan to do a full reconciliation later in the year.

Changes for Juniors, Students and Over 18s

All direct debits will now be quarterly on the same date, so if you currently have an annual direct debit we will be in touch with simple instructions on what to do.

For students we will be in touch to establish the expected date of course completion as it will need to be added. This also applies to dependents over 18 in family memberships as family membership still only covers under 18s plus students still in full time education in the same household. Those no longer in full time education will need to move to a new membership. This is not new, but the new system will help us manage it better.
