Commodore’s Weekend on 22/23 June 19 celebrating 10 years of the new clubhouse

Sky Gazing Grimwith Thursday 21 Feb 19.

The club is hosting a YDNP Dark Skies Festival event on Thursday 21 Feb 19 . A walk has been organised by The Outdoor Guide / Where to Walk . A few are using all terrain wheelchairs and lead by a person who knows about astronomy. The plan is to walk around the reservoir from about 5.30 and finishing at the club about 7.30 / 8pm .
All club members/ friends / Facebook friends are invited particularly as we have one telescope available (thanks Andrew Straton). We could do with more than one telescope ..so please let us know if you can bring yours. You may want to join in the walk . (need a torch!) . If you do you undertake this under your own responsibility.
There will be tea and cakes at 5.30 and then a simple Jacket type meal at about 7.30-8 . We could do with notification if you need meals .
We have been informed that there could be up to a 24 hour cancellation because of total cloud cover / snow / access etc…so keep a watch on the Facebook page.
