Our expert coach Olli is back with us in November (looking annoyingly tanned from a summer in Kefalos) and is running a one day clinic at the club on going faster, dealing with chop & general skills. It will be a full day on Saturday 16 November.

We’ll be looking at the techniques required to really make your gear move fast, the theory of preventing the board from turning into a bucking bronco and how to apply these techniques to the manoeuvres that you’re currently learning. We’ll be doing land based theory which will be filmed for you to take away with you after

It’s ideal for anybody who spins out a lot when it gets windy at Grimwith, struggle to make the board go fast on your carve gybe entries, or gets bounced off the board by chop.

It’ll be done on one of the two days, so make sure you’re available for both – Once the forecast is available for both we’ll make a decision on whichever one is the best looking day.

The minimum level requirement for this is the ability to sail independently in strong winds; Your own equipment is advised, as the club has some gear – But not loads to go at.

Price is £50/pp for the day with a maximum group size of 8 people. Bookings close at 9am on Friday 15 November.

YDSC is an RYA Recognised Training Centre, but our accreditation is based on delivering training to our members and not the general public. If you have not done a training event at YDSC before then you can do this without joining, but if you have then you need to be a member to take part.
