These sessions will run form 10am – 4pm and are aimed at those who have already attended the improver sessions and are now independent and reasonably competent sailors ready to move onto racing. The sessions are for both youth and adult sailors and the sessions will be led by highly experienced Race Coach Ian Escritt and his team. Those attending are encouraged to attend all sessions as regularly as possible to make full benefit of the progressive tuition.

An introduction to sailing by a qualified instructor in a large dinghy with up to 4 other participants. These sessions are open to both adults and children or to family groups. You do not need to be a member to do your first session but we ask you to join the club to do further sessions, and after one or two sessions, we will encourage you to join one of our RYA beginners courses (see below). We ask for a £10 per person donation to attend the introductory sessions. The sessions will run from 10am until 12 noon, please arrive at 9.30am to register and get kitted up. The club can provide you with a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet, you will need to bring your own footwear (wetsuit boots or trainers) a waterproof top and gloves

If you have just bought a dinghy and are needing some support then this is the one for you. It includes an introduction to racing. Use your own boats where possible, but Picos and other club boats should be available

Participants will be working to complete their Stage 3 or 4 Certificate. The Stage 3 course is for those youngsters who have completed Stage 2 or are part way through Stage 3 and are ready to move on from the beginners group.
