Open Meeting Cancellation and Refund Policy

On occasion it is necessary to cancel an event for various reasons. We also understand it is sometimes necessary for a participant to cancel a entry. As virtually all events involve some committed costs, the policy for refunds for entries is as follows:

If the club cancels the event then participants will get a full refund.

If you cancel then the following conditions apply:

  • Cancellation more than 2 weeks in advance of the start of the event – full refund
  • Cancellation within 2 weeks of the start of the event – 50% refund
  • Cancellation within 24 hours of the start of the event or unnotified non-attendance – no refund.

Exceptions might be made at club discretion if there are appropriate extenuating circumstances. If this is the case please contact the Club Sailing Secretary at

For events where entry is made through other providers such as the RYA, their terms and refund policy apply.
