NOTES
1. The recommended PN from the RYA for YDSC is data – based using club results since 2011.
2. The Confidence figure refers to stability of the number and depends on: No of counting races, number/range of competitors etc. It is NOT a measure of accuracy of the data / result etc.
3. NPN refers to the Yardstick provided by the RYA for general use across all water types.
4. GL refers to the Great Lakes handicaps which apply to larger inland waters such as ours.
Depending on the confidence level, the % of any change applied will be as shown below. The table shows calculations for PN based on data and degree of ‘Confidence’
